Eric Jaffe, currently an editor at Smithsonian.com, is a Washington-based writer who has written for Smithsonian, the Los Angeles Times, Slate, Boston, Science News, and other leading publications. He has a master’s degree in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Jaffe is at work on his first book, a narrative history tentatively titled The King’s Best Highway: The Lost History of the Boston Post Road, the Route that Made America, to be published by Scribner in July 2010.
