Alex Kershaw
Alex Kershaw is the bestselling author of many highly acclaimed works of history. His books include The Bedford Boys (2003), The Longest Winter (2004), Avenue of Spies: The True Story of Terror, Espionage and One America Family’s Heroic Resistance in Nazi-Occupied Paris (2015), and The Liberator, a narrative of a U.S. infantry officer who spent a record 500 days in combat from Salerno to Dachau (2012).
His most recent book book The First Wave, was published by Dutton in June 2019 to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the June 6, 1944, Normandy landings.
A graduate of University College, Oxford, he worked as a features writer for over a decade in the UK before moving to the U.S. in 1994. He lives with his family in Vermont.
